Do I need to run a server at my shop?

No. You run the scuba shop, we run the tech. ScubaShop is a cloud application; all you need is a screen and an internet connection.

Can the register sell services, not just products?

Yes. Tank fills, battery replacements and any services you create are first-class items at the register, with the same discounts, coupons, tax handling and receipts as retail stock.

Question 3

Can I take card payments through ScubaShop?

Yes. Connect your Stripe account and take cards at the counter, by QR pay link on the customer's phone, or online in the customer portal for trip installments. Money settles straight to your account; card processing fees are billed separately.

Can I schedule and reserve time for my pool?

Of course. Every asset gets a reservation schedule: pool lanes, training rooms for a class, the truck, the van, the boat. Add the asset and its calendar is ready to book.

Can I track rental gear by serial number?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Rental units are individual pieces with serial numbers and asset tags, so you always know which unit is out, with whom, when it is due back, and what condition it came back in.

Does ScubaShop handle certifications from different agencies?

PADI, SSI and NAUI catalogs are built in, a diver can hold any mix of certifications across agencies, and you can create custom courses for anything you teach that we have not thought of.

Can customers do anything for themselves?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Walk-ins onboard themselves with a QR code, waivers are signed electronically, and the customer portal lets divers see their trips, pay balances and installments, download receipts and view their certifications.

We have locations in different countries. Does that work?

Accepted Answer

Each site carries its own time zone, currency and measurement preference, and measurements display in both systems (3,000 psi / 207 bar). The register follows the currency of the site it is selling at.

Can it tell us who is calling before we pick up?

Point your phone provider (Quo, RingCentral, or anything that can send a webhook) at your shop's private endpoint and everyone with the app open sees the caller instantly, one click from their customer record.

How can I import my data from my previous solution?

We will work with you to import your data. Create an account, send us a message, and in most cases we can bring everything over for you.

Can I use my own phones, asset tags, computers, payment systems?

Yes. We have no interest in locking you in. ScubaShop provides services as a convenience, and works with the equipment and providers you already use wherever it can.

Is my data safe?

Accepted Answer

Every shop's data is kept fully isolated from every other shop's. Backups run continuously (we can restore to within minutes of any point in time), encrypted copies are stored offsite, and files like waivers and photos live in private, per-shop storage.

Question 13

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Export your shop's data any time. If you cancel we keep it for 90 days so you can come back or finish exporting, then delete it permanently.

You don't have a feature that I want.
